    Contemporary Pain Management

    About

    This module is suitable for healthcare professionals in any setting, if you are looking to extend your knowledge on pain management to benefit your clients.

    The broad concepts of pain management are considered allowing you to apply to your area of practice.

    • The principles and practices that underpin a biopsychosocial approach to management of pain
    • Evidence-based approaches to pain management
    • Their contribution towards improved outcomes for patients with pain problems
    • Strategies to implement and evaluate the clinical effectiveness of pain management within their practice
    • Organisational and global issues in pain management

    Learning Methods

    This module is delivered online through the University's Virtual Learning Environment, CampusMoodle, with methods including online chat, virtual classroom and discussion forums. You will engage with directed and self-directed learning activities supported by the module team.

    Approximately 15 hours a week.

    English Program Requirements
