    About

    The Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours Counselling degree will equip potential graduates with contemporary Counselling knowledge, theory and skills in: research, collaborative practice, leadership, coaching and mentoring. It will be of value to practitioners working in private practice, agency settings, statutory services and elsewhere who wish to continue their professional development in Counselling and enhance their competencies in a range of areas. The course will enhance employability in the Counselling field delivering key skills to equip Counsellors and Counselling Supervisors/Managers across a range of settings. Students will engage with some of the critical contemporary Counselling issues of our time including: Managing sustainable delivery, teamwork and collaborative practice, responding to vulnerability and crisis, working with Eco - Anxiety and developing transcultural competencies Who is it for? This course is a Level 6 top-up progression route to a Bachelors Degree with Honours, for students who have successfully completed a Level 5 Foundation Degree/qualification in Counselling. Furthermore, Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours Counselling top - up is intended to create a seamless progression route from the College’s existing level 2 and 3 provision in Counselling.

    Entry to the programme will be via UCAS - 240 credits All applicants must have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above and have achieved a Foundation Degree in Counselling or a related subject, or achieved 120 Level 4 Credits and 120 Level 5 (or higher) Credits in related subjects.
