This exciting new course aims to meet the needs of future artists and designers in the contemporary creative industries. Dedicated pathways provide the opportunity to explore a specialist medium in detail, in preparation for further degree-level study or working in industry. Within the HNC Creative Media Production course, the Visual Effects (VFX) specialist pathway embraces the skills, language and knowledge needed to succeed at the cutting edge of this global industry. Students will be encouraged to explore their creativity, take risks, build their confidence, and prepare to reach their potential. Specialist skills include animation, motion graphics, sound engineering and 3D modelling. This full-time course is delivered by experienced professionals who are experts in the fields of media, film and television; with extensive industry CVs. For the course scheduled to begin in February 2022, course delivery is planned to run through continuously until the end of August 2022. About the course There is an emphasis on employability skills and the knowledge essential for students with entrepreneurial, employment or academic aspirations. Programme content is designed to be appropriate for entry to or progression within the creative sector and to enable progress to higher study at Level 5 on the Higher National Diploma (HND) and Level 6 BA (Hons) Digital Media Design top-up degree (validated by Nottingham Trent University). This course will be based at our city-centre campus at The Adams Building, which includes a 3-camera TV studio built to industry standard, including video production equipment and digital editing suites.
