    Wartburg College offers majors in English and English education. Secondary teaching certification is available in English and all modern languages. This flexible program also can prepare students for a wide range of careers through concentrations in literature, creative writing, and film and performance studies. These majors provide exciting opportunities to explore language, literature, and culture and to develop writing skills applicable in a variety of fields. Pursuing your degree at Wartburg will prepare you for careers requiring communication skills and sensitivity to the breadth of human experience. Graduates work in human services, mass media, publishing, technical writing, and business; teach in secondary schools; or continue their education in business, law, English, and other graduate and professional degree programs.
