    Career

    After you graduate

Graduates typically work in careers connected to the criminal justice system or other ‘people orientated' professions, such as counsellors, teachers and probation officers. As well as subject-specific expertise, you'll graduate with skills in data analysis, communication, team working and project management.

In order to help you achieve your goals and develop the necessary experience and skills, we have an internship module, the option of a placement year, and a range of authentic assessments which mimic real-world tasks relevant to future employment.

We have guest speakers from a range of relevant organisations and we have set up a form of community-engaged learning, where real-world organisations set our students a live brief as part of their assessment. By completing the assessment our students are not only learning vital skills for work, but also helping the organisation achieve part of their mission. To date we have worked with local government, charities working on supporting and reintegrating offenders, and campaign organisations.
