The MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice Policy (CCJP) is a program jointly run by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and the Department of Political Science. As such, the program offers a unique opportunity for students to pursue advanced studies and research in crime and the criminal justice system from both sociological and criminological perspectives as well as from political science and public policy and management perspectives.

Entry Requirements
Master’s Degree
- Normally, the minimum requirement for admission to a master's program is successful completion of an undergraduate degree/ baccalaureate, in an honours program or the equivalent, from a recognized university.
- Minimum B- average (last two years of full-time equivalent study)
Doctoral Degree
- Normally, the minimum requirement for admission to a doctoral program is the successful completion of a graduate/master’s degree from a recognized university
- Minimum B average in their Master’s program (department may require higher standing)
- Demonstrated strong potential for research..
Applicants who hold the DVM degree (or equivalent) and who are applying to the DVSc program must have achieved an overall average standing of at least high second-class honours ('B' standing) in their program.
