The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Dance Education prepares students to teach dance in the public schools and settings including community centers, YMCA’s, dance studios, recreation facilities and related settings. Successful graduates will earn New Jersey teaching certification P-12, which is the most respected credential for teaching pre-kindergarten through grade 12 in the public schools. Students must apply and be admitted to the Teacher Education program. For further information, see the BA in Dance. 120 credits of coursework is required for the baccalaureate degree with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA. Major GPA requirements differ depending on field of study. Consult the Teacher Education Program Handbook for more information.
