Data Science for Chemical and Materials Engineers

The online graduate certificate in Data Science for Chemical and Materials Engineers enables students to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, statistics and mathematics. Students in the Data Science for CME Graduate Certificate Program will learn a wide range of leadership and management skills in addition to the following skills:

• Apply data science and machine learning in Python to produce engineering solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
• Use advanced machine learning models, data mining, and cloud computing to solve complex problems in chemical and materials engineering. 
• Utilize digital tools and principles of aesthetics and visual design elements to generate effective data visualizations of chemical and materials engineering to make informed judgments.
• Function effectively on a team whose members work together to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to establish goals, plan tasks, provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment.
