    About the course

    This course enables you to develop and evidence your competence as a dental educator. It combines face to face on-line and practice based learning opportunities (through teaching observation). The course explores approaches to teaching learning and assessment in both university and practice settings.

    The course is concerned with the contemporary practice of dental education in both Higher and Professional Education contexts.

    The Course has been designed with the diverse educational roles and responsibilities of dental educators in mind.

    It therefore focuses on how you can develop an informed approach to the design delivery and evaluation of dental education and training whether you are new to education or have considerable prior experience.

    Specifically this course aims to

    • enable you to adopt a critical analytical and reflective stance towards dental education and its practice
    • support the development of dental /healthcare educators working in Higher Education and Professional Education contexts
    • position dental education in both historical and contemporary theoretical policy and professional contexts
    • promote students' critical self-awareness and reflexivity in relation to the practice of dental education and their current and /or future educational/supervision roles

    Bachelor's degree (55% or more)

    UK Bachelor's degree with Honours

    English Program Requirements

    The University accepts the following qualification as satisfying the English Language requirements for entry to a Bachelor or Master's degree.

    • UKVI Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each element
