Overview Meredith College students connect with the local fashion industry by creating window displays in retail stores, presenting fashion shows, helping national designers in the local area, and competing in design competitions. Our longstanding Paris Fashion Program offers unique opportunities in the world’s fashion capital.The curriculum of the fashion merchandising and design program offers students exposure to every aspect of the fashion industry, from concept to consumer. Students are challenged to strengthen their talents, expand their knowledge, and apply what they learn for personal and professional success. Students choose between a concentration in merchandising or design, depending on their abilities, interests and career aspirations.Design ConcentrationStudents choosing to major in fashion merchandising and Design with a design concentration must complete 40 hours of core curriculum courses and an additional 21 hours of design courses.
