    About

    The Foundation Year is common to all Cyber awards and is designed to give students a flavour of each of the specific disciplines. The material is designed to bridge their knowledge to enable them to progress to Level 4 on completion of Level 3.

    Digital Forensics & Computer Security

    This module aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts surrounding digital forensics and computer security.

    Fundamentals of Secure Programming

    This module provides students with an understanding of the basics of secure computer programming, allowing them to demonstrate an understanding of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).

    Fundamentals of Computer Systems

    The module aims to expose the students to the fundamentals of binary computers by utilising interactive small devices.

    Foundation of Mathematics for Cyber

    This module will focus on Mathematics that is relevant to Cyber Security students.  It will provide students with necessary mathematical techniques required to comprehend the technical aspects of computer operation.

    Cyber Project

    The module aims to introduce students to research and project work. This will encourage students to learn how to manage a small project, and to run it effectively and under certain time constraints.

    Academic Qualifications

    • Applicants who have completed a Diploma of Technician / Technical Diploma in a relevant subject can be considered for year 1 entry of an undergraduate degree
    • Applicants who have followed the IB Diploma curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied
    • Applicants who have followed the A-Level curriculum can be considered for undergraduate entry – the normal UCAS tariff will be applied

    Undergraduate Advanced Entry

    Students who have completed a 2 year Diploma or Associate Degree from a recognised institution can be considered for advanced entry onto the 2nd year of an undergraduate degree programme

    English Program Requirements

    English language requirements

    International applicants will need to have achieved an overall of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component/TOEFL 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing or equivalent.
