    As with all of our students at Richmond, youll have the advantage of being able to study one programme and gain two degrees, from the US and the UK, opening up more international career opportunities.

    Our programme encompasses all aspects of marketing and digital marketing from market research and consumer behaviour to branding and advertising. Ecommerce and social media are explored in detail, with an examination of their increasingly vital role in the marketing mix.

    You will be challenged to think critically and how to negotiate strategies effectively in turbulent times such as Brexit and Covid-19.

    On top of all this, youll be provided with a solid foundation in general business and management knowledge with a specific focus on digital marketing, both as business strategy and a function.

    You will gain an understanding of the many different strands of digital marketing user channels, stages of the customer journey, how to engage customers, drive traffic to websites, search engine optimisation, paid advertising, how to build a social media following and increase conversion through email sign-up or sales. Whatever your goals, by the end of the programme, youll be a master of digital marketing someone who knows how to reach and influence people through multiple digital platforms.

    Theres a broad spectrum of electives on offer in the third and fourth years. Choose from topics which are highly valued by future employers such as Data Science, Advanced Computer Applications in Business, Coding and Web Design. Its an opportunity to specialise in an area that you find particularly interesting and could be invaluable when making a career choice.

    Youll be given the chance to work on live marketing briefs, so youll have a real grasp of how marketing and digital marketing works in practice. Guest speakers are invited to meet our BA Digital Marketing students, sharing their expertise and tips on how to get ahead in the industry. Based in vibrant London, home to world leading marketing, advertising and digital communication companies, youll be ideally positioned to capitalise on internship opportunities.

    On completing this programme, students will be able to apply for four exemptions (all certificate level) from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the worlds largest professional body of management accountants, entering into their Operational Level.

    Entry Requirements

    At Richmond our undergraduate degree programmes, which are based on the US educational approach, are offered on a four year pathway. Every undergraduate degree student will first enter our Liberal Arts programme before specialising in their Major.

    This programme can also be taken as a three year pathway depending on previous qualifications. The entry requirements for all undergraduate programmes at Richmond are the same, regardless of your chosen Major.

    English Program Requirements

    Applicants who are not native speakers of English must demonstrate the required level of English Language proficiency indicated below. There are a number of ways this can be achieved:

    • A valid (in date) recognised English Language test for those who require a Student Visa (programmes longer than 6 months in duration) to study in the UK
    • Nationals from a Majority English Speaking Country* as defined by the UKVI, are not required to provide proof of English language proficiency
    • Completion of an undergraduate programme in the UK

    *Majority English Speaking Countries are defined as the following: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom and USA.

    How to Apply

    You apply one of three ways, either apply directly through us, apply through UCAS and for our US students, via the Common Application ($50.00).

    In order to submit your application you will need the following information

    • Details of your education history, including the dates of all exams/assessments
    • The email address of your referee who we can request a reference from, or alternatively an electronic copy of your academic reference
    • A personal statement this can either be emailed as a Word Document or PDF, or completed online
    • An electronic copy of your in process or completed high school (secondary school) transcript and graduation certificate

    When to apply
    We encourage you to complete your application as early as possible, even if you are completing your undergraduate programme of study. In this case you will be offered a place that is conditional on successfully completing a specified qualification and English language qualification if applicable.
