About

The Diploma of Engineering provides guaranteed* entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at the University of Wollongong (UOW).

You will gain the skills to succeed in your UOW bachelor and cover core first-year engineering subjects, blending theoretical and practical components for hands-on experience in fundamental engineering areas and explore various engineering disciplines, including maths and physics. You will also graduate with a Higher Education Diploma to help get you into the workforce while completing your bachelor's degree.

This course consists of three sessions, each lasting 14 weeks, and is offered by our pathway provider, UOW College Australia. See the course outline for more information.

Minimum ATAR 55 or equivalent

Assumed knowledge and recommended studies

Year 12 HSC Mathematics Advanced (any result) OR Year 12 HSC Mathematics Standard 2 > 80%

Overall IELTS Academic score of 5.5 with 5.0 in Reading and Writing or equivalent

Students may be considered as meeting the English language requirements if successfully completing two years of secondary or tertiary study at an approved institution where the language of instruction was English; and was in a country where the official language is English.
