Diploma of Information Technology Fast Track (International)

About

The Diploma of Information Technology Fast Track provides guaranteed* entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Business Information Systems or Bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Wollongong (UOW).

You will gain the skills to succeed in your UOW bachelor and explore various disciplines including programming, systems analysis, networks and web technologies. You will also graduate with a Higher Education Diploma to help get you into the workforce while completing your bachelor's degree.

This course consists of two sessions, each lasting 14 weeks, and is offered by our pathway provider, UOW College Australia. See the course outline for more information.

UOW College offers three intakes each year, giving you the flexibility to start your studies at different times throughout the year.

English Language Requirements

Overall IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with 5.5 in Reading and Writing or equivalent

The UOW English equivalent webpage details alternative English language tests including TOEFL, Pearsons and Cambridge. Students may be considered as meeting the English language requirements if successfully completing two years of secondary or tertiary study at an approved institution where the language of instruction was English; and was in a country where the official language is English.

Bachelor of Computer Science - entry into second year (8 subjects, 48 credit points)

Bachelor of Information Technology - entry into second year (8 subjects, 48 credit points)

Bachelor of Technology* - entry into first year (3 subjects, 18 credit points)

*Year 12 HSC Mathematics Advanced ≥ 50% (or equivalent) is a mandatory subject requirement for applicants seeking a progressive offer from this course to the Bachelor of Technology.
