    About

    Gain expertise in a specialised area of language, literature and culture

    Pursue an advanced research project in English literary studies, philosophy, communications, or applied linguistics, and expand our understanding of the cultural and social forces that shape and steer the world today.

    The Master of Arts (Women's Studies) offers a combination of coursework and a minor thesis. Topics cover areas such as feminist questions, gender and international development, Indigenous women, and media analysis.

     

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification or hold a the Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Education or closely related qualification. In addition, applicants must also have no less than two years’ work experience in an organisation.

    English Program Requirements

    If you don’t meet our English language entry requirements and need to improve your English language proficiency, you can do so through our approved English Language Instruction Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) providers. This means that you can attend the required English language tuition at approved ELICOS providers and gain direct entry into university without an IELTS or TOEFL test.
