Are you interested in working in bilingual education programs? Our Dual Language Certificate Program aims to promote biliteracy and multiculturalism by meeting the diverse needs of students, families, and teachers in Massachusetts. In this five-course certificate, you will learn contemporary theory, critical perspectives, and culturally and linguistically sustaining pedagogical practices for working with multilingual learners. Successful completion of the Dual Language Certificate Program also meets the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements for the Bilingual Education Endorsement. Due to the nature of this graduate certificate, this program is only available on-campus.
Coursework
The certificate program consists of a classroom-based fieldwork component (100 hours) and five courses:

Spring semester admissions: November 1st (If you have a completed application by October 1st, you will receive a decision by November 1st)
Fall semester admissions: May 1st (If you have a completed application by January 15th, you will receive a decision by March 1st)
