About
The Masters program in Early Childhood Education at Baheehir University is designed to meet educational standards that focus on developmental, societal and technological influences on early childhood learning. The program aims to prepare future professionals dedicated to excellence in the field of early childhood education. Graduates of the program will contribute to understanding and improvement of developmentally appropriate practices in Turkey as well as in the world. The coursework is concentrated on research and theories of child development as well as their implications for supporting the well-being of young children and families.
Graduates of the master program in early childhood education continue in or return to careers as teachers in school settings; become policy makers, leaders of agencies and organizations, or consultants for employers who serve families and young children as well as the professionals who work with them.
Program Structure
The Master of Science in Early Childhood Education has a thesis and a thesis alternative. The non-thesis program consists of 10 courses and 1 project course. Thesis program consists of 7 courses, seminars and thesis studies. Elective courses offer options for students to specialize in areas suitable for career planning in accordance with their desires.
Each must course is only opened during the period. Elective courses vary according to semesters. Online elective course options are available on a semester basis.
The duration of the Masters Program in Early Childhood Education non-thesis is 3 semesters. The duration of the thesis program is between 4 and 6 semesters. Students who have not completed the program within the specified time will be dismissed from the University.

Applicants with a Bachelor degree
English Program Requirements
If English is not your first language, or you do not have an internationally recognized English qualification, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability. You can bring one of the internationally recognized test results or you can take the proficiency test of Bahçeşehir University (For Undergraduate Programs Min. Score: 60-Graduate Programs Min. Score: 65)

STEP 1
ONLINE APPLICATION
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
- Submit Copy of Passport
- Submit a copy of Undergraduate Diploma (in English or Turkish)
- Transcript of records/required scores (in English or Turkish)
- Foreign language exam results (if any)
- TOEFL (IBT 79)
- TOMER (B2)certificate (only for programs offered in Turkish)
Please note: Your application will not be taken into consideration by the Admission Committee
until you submit all required documents.

application
STEP 2
PRE-ENROLLMENT
Follow the instructions on your Conditional Acceptance Letter by sending the deposit and reserve your seat and obtain the Official Acceptance Letter before coming to Istanbul to finalize registration.
STEP 3
PAYMENT
- Cash is accepted at Deniz Bank / B building.
- Credit card is accepted at BAU Financial Office.
Visit International Office when payment is done!
Note: Paid in Cash? Verify your payment from the Financial Affairs.
Monday – Friday 9 a.m – 6 p.m
STEP 4
COMPLETE ENROLLMENT
- Go to the Student Affairs office.
- Submit your original documents and payment receipts.
- Get your student account activated at registration office for international students.
- Get information about English proficiency if needed.

STEP 5
RESIDENCE PERMIT
The final step is for you to complete your residence permit application. Visit the International Office and a representative will assist you.

Please bring along with you the following documents:
- Passport
- Photocopy of your passport ID page as well as the pages with student visa and entry stamps (if you require a visa to enter Turkey)
- Student certificate
- Health insurance
- 4 passport-sized photographs
- Application fee receipt (can be paid at Ziraat Bank or Tax Offices)
- Tax number from the tax office
- If you are under 18: Consent letter, birth certificate
- A colored copy of the Residence Permit application form
And you’re done!
