You will study innovative approaches to how young children engage in learning, observe children in their own learning environment and develop effective strategies to improve their literacy and numeracy skills.
The course also features a dissertation, which offers you the chance to study an area of professional interest at length and develop your academic research and writing skills in preparation for postgraduate study.
You will also be among the first students to study in our new University Centre in the Winter Gardens Pavilion on Weston seafront. The brand new facilities include a library, technology-enabled learning â€کpods', and bright and spacious classrooms.
In recent years, students on this course have been invited to attend UCW's annual Early Years Conference to be inspired by visiting experts. Guest lecturers also share their specialisms in scheduled classes.
Students on this course also recently went on a residential visit to The Gambia at an additional expense.
It would be great to meet you and show you around at our next Open Day. If you have any questions about the course or UCW, please contact the course leader Susan Score or our HEART student services team.
