    About

How do societies decide what to produce, and how much of it? What determines prices, exchange rates, interest rates and levels of inflation? As an Economics student, you will explore the answers to these questions. You’ll gain an understanding of how economies function internally and on a global scale, what drives consumers, and how public policy and global events affect markets.

Economics at McGill offers a flexible curriculum where you can follow your interests – whether that’s economic history and development, environmental economics, international trade and finance, labour economics, money and banking or public finance.

Pursuing a Minor in Economics as an Engineering student is a great way to complement your studies.
