The MEITE program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill develops leaders in educational innovation who:create learning environments of the futuredesign, scale, and/or commercialize breakthrough educational technologies, pedagogy and curriculum based on the science of learninginspire transformational change in technology-intensive learning organizations.These innovations may take place within traditional schools but are just as likely to occur outside schools, whether as Internet-based applications or mobile apps, or in nontraditional learning environments such as science centers, after-school programs, or community-based organizations.
