The Joint PhD in Educational Studies is offered by Lakehead University, the University of Windsor and Brock University. In bringing together a high number of qualified faculty with a broad spectrum of expertise and research interests, the program provides enhanced opportunities for depth and breadth in supervisory expertise. As well, it provides opportunities in generating new knowledge and directions in research. With a focus on nurturing students as developing scholars and leaders we promote professional development through collaboration fostering links between schools and universities, and promote partnerships locally, nationally, and internationally.

English Program Requirements

Tests (GRE/GMAT/English Proficiency)

Graduate Record Examination (GRE)

Applicants whose academic credentials are difficult to assess may be required to write the GRE, administered by the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, New Jersey, USA. 08540.

M.B.A. applicants are required to take the GMAT prior to admission.

English Proficiency

All test scores are valid for 2 years from the date the test was taken. Tests must be valid at the beginning of the term in which a student starts their program.

Pathway Program

The University of Windsor English Language Improvement Program (ELIP) (Level III) with a minimum final grade of 75%.

International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) Completion of the International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) Pathway Program Level 3.3. Visit the website at: https://www.ilac.com/ilac-in-canada/

International Centre for English for Academic Preparation Inc. (ICEAP) for Admission to the course-based Master of Education Completion of the ICEAP Toronto Education Cohort Program (Pathway Program) with an EAP Certificate and a minimum grade of 70%. Visit the website at: www.iceap.ca
