About

Energy Systems Engineering is a discipline which specializes on the application of engineering fundamentals and techniques into the field of energy. Energy Systems Engineering deals with conventional energy resources such as hydro, natural gas, petroleum, coal and nuclear as well as new and renewable energy resources such as wind, geothermal, biomass/biogas, solar and hydrogen energies. Energy Systems Engineers work on not only basic energy generation, transmission, distribution and consumption processes but also the energy markets in general, thereby covering every single aspect of energy concept.

Nowadays, with respect to meet alterations and innovations in the field of energy, educating individuals on the general structure of energy systems, energy economics, energy management, and sustainability is of utmost importance. With this context, Baheehir University shows its dedication to this goal once again by offering the œENERGY SYSTEMS OPERATION AND TECHNOLOGIES graduate program.

This program offered for candidates with B.S. degree in any engineering/science disciplines is aimed to:

provide its graduates with the highest level of knowledge and skills in the fields of energy systems operation, energy management, energy markets, and sustainability,
to contribute scientific and technological development by implementing joint research and development projects with industry and enabling the assistance of the participants to these projects.

English Program Requirements

If English is not your first language, or you do not have an internationally recognized English qualification, you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability. You can bring one of the internationally recognized test results or you can take the proficiency test of Bahçeşehir University (For Undergraduate Programs Min. Score: 60-Graduate Programs Min. Score: 65)

How to Apply

STEP 1

ONLINE APPLICATION

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

Submit Copy of Passport
Submit a copy of Undergraduate Diploma (in English or Turkish)
Transcript of records/required scores (in English or Turkish)
Foreign language exam results (if any)
- TOEFL (IBT 79)
- TOMER (B2)certificate (only for programs offered in Turkish)

Please note: Your application will not be taken into consideration by the Admission Committee
until you submit all required documents.
We will send you an acknowledgment of evaluation result within three weeks of receiving your
application

STEP 2

PRE-ENROLLMENT

Follow the instructions on your Conditional Acceptance Letter by sending the deposit and reserve your seat and obtain the Official Acceptance Letter before coming to Istanbul to finalize registration.

STEP 3

PAYMENT

Cash is accepted at Deniz Bank / B building.
Credit card is accepted at BAU Financial Office.

Visit International Office when payment is done!
Note: Paid in Cash? Verify your payment from the Financial Affairs.

Monday – Friday 9 a.m – 6 p.m

STEP 4

COMPLETE ENROLLMENT

Go to the Student Affairs office.
Submit your original documents and payment receipts.
Get your student account activated at registration office for international students.
Get information about English proficiency if needed.

STEP 5

RESIDENCE PERMIT

The final step is for you to complete your residence permit application. Visit the International Office and a representative will assist you.

Please bring along with you the following documents:

Passport
Photocopy of your passport ID page as well as the pages with student visa and entry stamps (if you require a visa to enter Turkey)
Student certificate
Health insurance
4 passport-sized photographs
Application fee receipt (can be paid at Ziraat Bank or Tax Offices)
Tax number from the tax office
If you are under 18: Consent letter, birth certificate
A colored copy of the Residence Permit application form
