    The sector of Energy Technology is increasingly characterized by international and multinational collaborations. Thus, besides the technical expertise international experience is demanded. The masters degree programme Energy Technology is offered to meet these arising requirements of internationality. Technical expertise is taught in an international environment. The programme is designed to give a highly qualified specialisation in the field of Energy Technology. It is offered in English language by

    In order to be eligible for this study programme, a bachelor degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related field of study is required. Applicants may apply to all three Universities as long as they hold an European bachelor degree or a degree from anywhere else except Russia. Applicants with Russian bachelor degree may apply only at St.Petersburg. Entrance examinations should be taken at the university to which the student has applied.

    For master's degree programmes with restricted admission, places shall be allocated according to the university’s own selection procedure, if there are more applicants fulfilling the admission requirements than there are places available.     First-year students
    • April 15th May 31st of the year for the winter semester
    Students resuming their studies and transfer students (application in a higher semester)
    • June 1st July 15th of the year for the winter semester
    • October 15th November 30th of the previous year for the summer semester

    How to Apply

    You can use our online application portal to enrol any time between 1 June and 30 September. To be able to do this, you will need a qualification for admission to higher education. At the end of the online application, you will automatically be forwarded to a cover letter (the so-called application for enrollment). Sign this application for enrollment (handwritten or digital) and put it together with the required documents into one PDF document, which you can then upload using the upload link provided. The required documents include your qualification for admission to higher education (e.g. Abitur) and any other supporting documents such as practical training certificates or evidence of language proficiency. We also need proof of your health insurance and evidence that you have paid the semester fee. At the end of the online application, all required documents are listed and must be uploaded as a scan of the original documents by September 30th, 11:59 p.m. Please do not forget to upload your photo for the LeibnizCard . You can find information on this in the application for enrollment at the end of the online application. In September, you will receive your enrolment documents, an invitation to the welcome event for new students and information about any preparatory courses that may be offered. Please note that some degree programmes offer preparatory courses well before term starts.
