The Mechanical Engineering Design Studio is a 3,500 square-foot "maker-space" for group projects, computer-aided design, prototyping and design validation. It is a community space that is open 24-7 for mechanical engineering students and their collaborators. Our internationally recognized faculty includes 33 named professors, 6 National Academy of Engineers members, 51 NSF and DOD faculty career and young investigator awards and 17 University teaching award recipients.
