The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Family Medicine & Primary Care offered by the Department of Family Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is a research-intensive, thesis-based program that fosters original contributions to the field through rigorous inquiry and meaningful engagement with knowledge users, including patients, communities, and health service providers.
Emphasizing interdisciplinary and collaborative learning, the program builds strong competencies in quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, and participatory research. Graduates are well equipped to pursue careers in academia, health research, government and non-governmental organizations, as well as in industry and other knowledge-driven sectors related to health, medicine, and beyond.
