    Our Fashion Communication and Styling programme will offer you the chance to learn skills in industry standard presentation and building professional networks which are essential for your future employability.

    As one of the most exciting fashion courses in London – we are proud to have won the best stand at the D&AD New Blood Awards 2024. Our graduates independent show at the Crypt gallery St Pancras in June 2024 was covered by SHOWSTUDIO.

    On this course you will work with a wide range of media and visual communication methods that are central to the fashion industry, all the while developing your own personal style and direction. We encourage collaboration and you will have the opportunity to work on projects with students from a range of other disciplines. You will also:

    • Showcase your work and develop your professional networks through our Degree Show
    • Prepare for the modern world of work through exposure to live briefs set by industry experts, and through work placements within your chosen area of fashion
    • Receive support from personal tutors, visiting industry guest lecturers and specialised technicians, who are experienced professionals in their respective fields
    • Gain insight into the latest professional practices in media and visual communications to prepare yourself for the constantly evolving fashion industry and emerging technologies.

    You will need to meet our English language requirements. And, don’t worry If you don't meet our minimum English language requirements, as we offer a Pre-sessional English course.

    IELTS both online and paper-based exams accepted. Candidates can also re-sit a single component within 60 days of taking their test through IELTS OneSkill. MDX will accept certificates with a OneSKill retake component

    6.0 (with 6 in Reading & Writing, min 5.5 in other components)
    6.5 (with 6.0 in each component); *MA Scriptwriting and MA Novel Writing (DE)– must have minimum
    6.5 overall with 6.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and a minimum
    7.0 in Written component; ** Sport Rehabilitation and Soft Tissue Therapy MSc and Sport
    Rehabilitation and Return to Play MSc – must have a minimum of 6.5 overall with 6.5 in each component

    Placements

    You will have a compulsory 6-week industry placement in year 2 which is supported by sessions in the first semester in Fashion Cultures and Social Responsibility which has a C.V. building and networking workshops and hubs alongside mock interviews. Fashion students then have a further opportunity to take an optional industry placement year between years 2 and 3. Placements are supported by MDX Works.
