About

Field studies offer you a chance to put theory into practice through local, regional, and international field study semesters and individual courses. Field Study Semesters are packages of McGill courses aimed at upper-year students that focus on the physical and social aspects of the environment. They are offered in various regions around the world in the Fall or Winter term. Currently, Field Study Semesters are offered in East Africa, Barbados, and Panama.

Applicants are reviewed on their high school transcript with particular emphasis on yearly averages and results in prerequisite subjects (prerequisite subjects must have been completed during the last two years of high school).

Bologna-signatory countries

McGill welcomes qualified applicants from throughout Europe, including from schools in Bologna signatory countries. Applicants will be considered for admission into McGill degree programs of similar duration as those at comparable, research-intensive universities in Europe. Accordingly, qualified applicants to the faculties of Arts, Education, and Management at McGill, with a Bologna-compliant diploma that leads to a three-year undergraduate program in Europe, will be admissible to a three-year program at McGill. Students in Management will be required to complete additional mathematics coursework.
