Students accepted on the BA (Hons) Fine Art programme will study a range of modules that encourage questioning alongside creative and critical thinking. Modules will draw from a range of disciplines throughout the programme in order to encourage an interdependent Fine Art practice. Practical workshops will include: Painting, Ceramics, Photography, Drawing, Printmaking, Artists Books, Multimedia, 3D design, Sculpture, Digital media and VR. Students will engage in a range of practical workshops to build responses to established modules. Experienced staff and practicing artists will hold regular critiques and tutorials with students from across year groups and programmes to develop interdependent and critical thinking. Art History and critical thinking workshops will help develop responses to themes and ideas that emerge from your developing practice. This includes opportunities to attend extended cultural visits and excursions to exhibitions nationwide. You will be encouraged to engage with professional opportunities through submission of work to exhibitions, events and public facing opportunities to develop your professional confidence.
