    In our foundation programme for construction project management, you will gain the fundamental knowledge needed for your future undergraduate studies, paving the way toward a BSc in Construction Project Managment.

    Throughout this programme, you'll engage in collaborative project-based learning alongside peers studying various infrastructure disciplines.

    Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Programme: Construction Project Management

    The Engineering and Physical Sciences Foundation Programme: Construction Project Management at Aston University will introduce you to sustainability, cost planning, scheduling, and real-world challenges while experiencing Birmingham's urban development.

    What we will provide
    First-class teaching in the UK’s second largest city, delivered by experienced and seasoned construction project management professionals and academics who bring a wealth of real-world experience to the classroom. Use of state-of-the-art facilities, including modern computer labs.

    It is not mandatory to bring your own device for this course, however if you choose to do so please note will need laptop specifications of i5 or above (or AMD equivalent).

    We appreciate students engaging in industry events which will add endless value to your time with us at Aston University. Students on this course must be happy to learn the important skills of people management, you must be open to effective cross-sector collaboration and have strong communication skills.

    What skills we teach
    Our foundation programme will prepare you fully for undergraduate study and provide a pathway to BSc Construction Project Management. As well as developing your technical skills, you’ll have the opportunity to develop the skills and attributes needed to be a professional engineer or applied scientist. You’ll learn note-taking, academic writing, clear communication and the collection, evaluation and analysis of data from different sources.

    On successful completion of our foundation programme, you will then have the opportunity to transition onto our BSc Construction Project Management degree. Our BSc construction project management graduates often secure roles with their placement companies. The versatile skills you will gain are even appealing beyond the industry, offering opportunities in finance, logistics, and management.     Aston University is committed to ensuring that every student is fully prepared to take on the challenges of their Master's degree. As such, please note that if you achieve IELTS overall 6.0 (with no more than two bands at 5.5 and other bands at 6.0 or above) or an equivalent acceptable English Language Qualification you will be required to undertake a mandatory timetabled in-sessional English programme to be delivered by Aston University’s Centre for English Language and Communication. Further details will be provided after the enrolment process including timetable and classes you will be required to attend. This is provided at no additional cost.
