Games and Behavior/Bachelor of Arts

• Students will demonstrate facility using basic research methods, for example: research design, statistic and analysis; organization, identification, and location of data and information including open and closed access sources; and/or presentation of findings in oral, written and multi-media form, including proper use of and citation of sources.
• Students will acquire the skills, knowledge and self-understanding to communicate with and effectively work and interact across cultures and with diverse people and groups.
• Students will demonstrate knowledge of career and further education options and opportunities open to them relative to their plan of study and will set goals and make plans beyond their expected graduation.
• Students will be able to recognize and analyses ethical and policy concerns raised by new technologies and will be able to apply ethical thinking to real world cases and craft effective solutions.
• Students will be able to identify and apply professional ethics and standards relevant to their career to aspirations.
• Students will demonstrate knowledge of users¿ needs and rights, such as identifying target user groups for games, PR tools and platforms, analytics and metric tools, play testing and evaluation, monetization, models, information, protection, game related permissions on different ethical competence, professional ethics, quality steering, assurance, monitoring and social media utilization.
• Students will demonstrate the ability to design a game for various purposes, such as education, health and well-being, training and entertainment by incorporating best-practices related to gamification in all stages including challenges and fun factor, balancing, level design, scoring and progression, user interface, interaction mechanics, narration, functionality, usability and playability.
• Students will exhibit understanding of and skills related to varied approaches, tools, systems, platforms, devices, processes and their effective utilization for game development that are well established and currently used in the games industry.

You must meet the following requirements in order to be provisionally admitted to a bachelor's degree program at the University of Arizona Global Campus:

• Attain a cumulative grade of C- or better by Day 6 of Week 3 in the course; 
• Attend week 4 of the first course; and
• Submit proof of graduation from high school in one of the following forms:
  • Official or unofficial copy of high school transcripts or diploma indicating graduation;
  • Official or unofficial documentation of passing the GED or state certificate awarded;
  • High school name and graduation date listed on an official transcript from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution, as defined by the University of Arizona Global Campus transfer credit policies; or
  • Proof of at least a two-year program or a minimum of 60 transferrable credits that are acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution, as defined by the University of Arizona Global Campus transfer credit policies.

Transfer students who successfully completed a two-year program that is acceptable for full credit toward a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution, as per the University of Arizona Global Campus admission policy, are exempt from the requirement to provide proof of high school graduation, but must submit official transcripts of the two-year program.

Attendance in week 4 constitutes your confirmation of your intention to continue in the program as a regular student. Please refer to the University of Arizona Global Campus Promise in the Academic Catalog for additional information.

The following requirements must be met prior to the conclusion of the fourth (4th) attempted University of Arizona Global Campus course in a degree seeking program. To start the fifth (5th) course, you must complete all the requirements subsequently outlined.

• Official TOEFL or IELTS scores, if required for admission If you meet the English Language requirement with 30 transferable credits, you must submit the official transcript(s) where these credits were earned.
• If you were provisionally admitted with completion of a two-year program from an appropriately accredited postsecondary institution as defined by the University of Arizona Global Campus transfer credit policies you must have official transcripts of those credits on file to meet full admissions requirements.

Students who do not meet all requirements will not be fully admitted and will be withdrawn from the program. Students may be readmitted to the University of Arizona Global Campus at such time that all requirements for full admission have been met. If the aforementioned required documentation does not apply, you are fully admitted at the time of their transfer credit evaluation, in accordance with the Transfer Credit Evaluation policy. On your application, you will be asked to self-report your grades. This means you should enter your courses and grades exactly as they appear on your high school transcripts, including any in-progress senior year coursework. Remember earlier when we said it’s helpful to have a copy of your high school transcripts? This is where they’ll come in handy.

Don’t worry about sending us your official transcripts yet – you don’t need to do that until after you’re admitted and finish your senior year of coursework.
