Games Design (with Foundation Year), BA (Hons)

Our foundation year is flexible and led by your interests. You can focus on games design or try other creative subjects like game art, animation and more. This flexible approach can help you decide what to study as a degree.

You'll work on a number of projects during your foundation year. You can focus on games design, applying design, animation and digital modelling to the project. You can also try other subjects and explore these in greater depth. Our course team will be on-hand to support throughout.

You'll be part of a creative community, as all of our art and media foundation year students study together. This makes it an inspiring environment, where you can try new approaches to your work.

Once you've successfully completed your foundation year, you can progress onto our Games Design BA (Hons) degree. You'll learn through a series of games design projects. This includes live briefs set by industry, such as Game Jam. These projects allow you to explore every aspect of games design and develop your own personal practice.

Diploma from a technical / vocational or health college / institute with a GPA of 2.0/5 or 60-64%

Successful completion of on year of appropriate study at a recognised KSA university with a GPA 2.5/5 (65-69%)
