Entry Requirements

Admission and enrollment in the online certificate program will require enrollment at Georgia State along with: B.A. or B.S. in a related field A statement of intent Transcripts Introduction to GIS with a grade of at least a C Students who lack an appropriate background may be required to take prerequisite courses. Students are required to have completed, with a C or better, an Introduction to GIS course or equivalent. Professional experience can also be substituted for the prerequisite; to be approved by the Director.

English Program Requirements

For students required to show English Language Proficiency for summer 2020 and fall 2020, Georgia State accepts Duolingo English tests as one of the new English proficiency tests. To register for the test, please go to go.duolingo.com/applicants. The Duolingo English Test can be taken online from a computer with a camera. Certiﬁed results are available within two days and can be shared instantly with the university. For 2020-2021 admissions cycle, any changes on the admissions requirements will be updated on the website under the guidance from the University System of Georgia.
