Geography - Climate and Environmental Change

    About

The teaching content is closely linked to current regional and international research projects. The focus is on the reconstruction of the late-quaternary climatic and environmental changes using various geoarchives, e.g. lakes, bogs, and palaeo-grounds as well as the dynamics of matter in ecosystems. A particular aspect of their studies deals with the biogeochemical changes in ecosystems and with biodiversity effects as a response to the current climate change and anthropogenic influences.
