Entry Requirements

To be admitted to the undergraduate Gerontology Certificate Program, students must be regularly enrolled in a degree program at Georgia State University. Students are required to submit an application to the certificate program obtained from the Gerontology Institute and have a minimal institutional GPA of 2.0. High School Seniors and Recent Graduates If youre a senior in high school or if you graduated from high school within the last two years, youll apply to begin your bachelors degree program using Georgia States Common Application. English Program Requirements

For students required to show English Language Proficiency for summer 2020 and fall 2020, Georgia State accepts Duolingo English tests as one of the new English proficiency tests. To register for the test, please go to go.duolingo.com/applicants. The Duolingo English Test can be taken online from a computer with a camera. Certiﬁed results are available within two days and can be shared instantly with the university. For 2020-2021 admissions cycle, any changes on the admissions requirements will be updated on the website under the guidance from the University System of Georgia.
