In order to address fundamental social problems such as poverty, injustice or war meaningfully, students must understand the social and political systems that contribute to them causally and the cultural environments in which they occur. This unique interdisciplinary minor in global and local social justice at Saint Louis University aims to provide students with such an understanding.
The global and local social justice interdisciplinary minor is a cooperative program that draws required or elective courses from several departments and programs, including American studies, political science, public health, public policy studies, sociology and anthropology, social work, and women's and gender studies.
