If you have been out of the workplace for a while and wish to start work as a Registered nurse, this program is the course for you.
Our course meets all Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia codes, standards, and guidelines and the legal and ethical obligations of registered nurses. There will be a focus on critical thinking, clinical reasoning, reflection and the use of current evidence and research to make sound clinical judgments to practice safely in a complex health environment.
You will explore current and emerging national and regional health priorities, health research, health policy and reform. Medication management, pharmacology and the relationship to physiology and pathophysiology will be addressed.
Person-centeredness, communication and cultural competence will be explored in both the theoretical and professional practice components of the program. There will also be a focus on caring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
During the program, Re-entry students register with AHPRA. Refresher students already have registration. To be eligible for registration you must meet the NMBA Registration Standards.
