About the course Students who study public policy will work in all levels of government, in the not-for-profit sector, in consulting firms and in international organisations. They can be social entrepreneurs, policy analysts, consultants to government or hold public office. This course will give you the necessary multi-disciplinary understanding of these roles, and help you to understand, design and evaluate economic and public policies.

Entry Requirements
Admission Requirements (1) To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and either:(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent; or(c) at least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation; or(2) significant work experience including at least 5 years with a material level of responsibility.

Graduates may be employed as public policy analysts (either in economics or public administration and governance), as well as managers in public sector departments and agencies.
