    About

    Overview

Want to bridge diverse cultures and open doors to international cooperation? Our Graduate Certificate in Translation can prepare you for an exciting career in the dynamic field of cross-cultural communication.

As you study with our leading academics, you’ll learn advanced translation skills and access the intellectual resources of Australia’s number one university.

Ignite your love for language as you explore the latest translation technologies while gaining insights into how language shapes our world. You’ll receive hands-on experience with generative AI and machine translation tools that will enhance your skills and make you a sought-after graduate in the field.

Tailor your studies to match your career goals and language expertise. Choose from specialised translation subjects in Chinese, French or Indonesian, then explore a unique mix of language-neutral subjects in translation technologies, teaching translation, and translation ethics.

These language-neutral subjects expand your study options, giving you unrivalled access to practical experience in translation across a wide range of languages.

This certificate will prepare you for the professional exams conducted by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).

Prefer to study part-time? See the Professional Certificate in Translation.

    Who is it for?

The Graduate Certificate in Translation is designed for English speakers with a strong command of a language other than English who want to work as a professional translator.
