Overview

If you want to extend your knowledge within a certain engineering field and already have a three-year bachelor degree in engineering, science, or technology, UniSQ’s Graduate Certificate of Engineering Practice is a great stepping-stone to further your career.
The core courses will develop your understanding of project management practices and asset management to be able to solve complex problems in an engineering environment.
You have the opportunity to then select courses from a range of engineering areas, such as structural design, geomechanics, construction methods, environmental pollution, stress analysis, mechanical thermodynamics, electrical and power systems, and design of machine elements, which will continue to broaden your expertise.

Entry requirements

Completion of an Australian university 3-year bachelor degree in engineering, science, or technology, or equivalent.

English language requirements

You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 with a minimum 6.0 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests.

If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can apply to study with our English language partner, the Union Institute of Language (UIL).

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows students to gain credit (advanced standing) towards their course in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Graduates who continue on to study and graduate from the Master of Engineering Practice may be eligible to become a professional engineer.
