    About

    Build on your professional expertise to extend your knowledge and skills in rehabilitation. This six-month full-time (or equivalent part-time) external course is designed for health professionals who want to enhance their current qualifications and take the next step in their career.

    Expand your knowledge and skills to design, manage, and evaluate rehabilitation plans for individuals and communities in culturally diverse populations. You will learn to develop solutions for complex problems in health professional practice.

    With a focus on tropical, rural, remote and Indigenous communities, you will complete one core subject and select one of four majors (outlined below). The full-time study planner provides more information for students and assists in planning your enrolment in the Graduate Certificate of Rehabilitation.

    Graduates may be eligible for credit towards a Graduate Diploma of Rehabilitation or a Master of Rehabilitation.

    AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a relevant health discipline; or at least five years’ experience in a health profession; or B Physiotherapy, B Occupational Therapy, or B Speech Pathology

    English language requirements

    Band 3a

    If your native language is not English, you must meet the minimum English language requirements for this course.

    English Program Requirements

    International students must attain an IELTS Academic with an average level of 7.5 or more, across the four components of listening, speaking, reading and writing; no score below level 7.0 in any of these components; and a score of 8.0 or more in the components of speaking and listening. Internationally schooled applicants may also be required to meet this requirement.

    English competency requirements may also be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

    • Bachelor degree or master degree from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK or the USA, or
    • Undergraduate degree taught in English from a South African University.
