Understand the modern world by exploring its historical foundations and traditions. Our department is a small and vibrant home to a host of dedicated faculty members who can help you explore the field and discover your passion – whether in research, teaching, or stewardship of Roman and Greek knowledge at museums or libraries. Our internationally-trained faculty boasts enviable strengths in the areas of Greek and Roman poetry, medieval Latin, Hellenistic history, and Greek and Roman material culture. Use them as valuable resources as you seek your degree – as a full-time or part-time student – as well as our solid departmental reference library and our extensive database. Students may also find opportunities for cross-disciplinary study with related programs.
