Horticultural Science Management - Small Scale Farming Concentration

The horticultural science management major is for students interested in growing, installing, and/or maintaining ornamentals, landscape plants and edibles. This program provides a foundation of science-based horticultural knowledge while emphasizing artistic and nutritional principles of plant use. Internships are required to reinforce classroom principles and vary based on the individual. The horticultural science management major offers concentrations in small-scale farming and ornamentals and landscape technology.

With this major, graduates can pursue careers in:

• Production Manager
• Horticulture Entrepreneur
• Landscape Foreman
• Pest Management Technician
• Small Farm Manager

Applicants attending school outside the U.S. must submit the following materials to complete their application:

• Official secondary school transcripts and English translations
• Proof of English Proficiency
• Proof of Financial Ability
• Optional SAT or ACT scores

Applicants attending school in the U.S. must submit the following materials to complete their application:

• Official high school transcripts
• Proof of English Proficiency
• Proof of Financial Ability (for F-1 or J-1 students)
• Optional SAT or ACT scores
