Program details
Expected duration: 4 years
As a major in human resource management at the University of Manitoba, students will learn how to help companies recruit and select qualified people, effectively train and develop a workforce, generate effective total compensation systems, manage employee performance and employee relations, foster and maintain an engaged workforce and promote talented people through the organization. When these activities are done well, organizations are suitably prepared to accomplish their strategic directives, and are staffed with the right people in the right positions at the right time - a motivated and committed workforce who work together to build the organization's success.
Choosing a major
In the Asper Bachelor of Commerce program, students typically choose a major at the beginning of their third year. Each student must declare at least one major and present a minimum Degree Grade Point Average of 2.00.
It is important to make sure you are following the correct program requirements for your chosen major. The best way to do this is to email an Asper program advisor or call the Asper Help Line at 204-474-6388.
