    About

    A Human Resource Management (HRM) department is committed to enabling staff members to do more, maintain their wellbeing, and grow professionally as part of the business.

    The MSc Human Resource Management course will kickstart your career by exploring HRM practices such as employee relations, employee resourcing, HRM development, HR data and performance management alongside the theory of general management and leadership.

    This course is delivered by published academics and co-developed by industry leaders to fine-tune your organisational, communicational and adaptability skills so you'll graduate ready to take on senior leadership roles in this imperative function. MSc Human Resource Management is also available with an optional Industrial Placement.

    You'll learn a broad overview of human resource management including practices and business skills involved in managing people, HRM and development in practice, HR Analytics, employee resourcing, employment relations, research methods and consultancy skills. You will end your Master's with a detailed report, to further develop your skills in human resource management theory.

    Entry Requirements

    For entry to a Kent postgraduate degree programme (Master’s), Jordanian students typically need to have completed a Bachelor degree from a recognised university. Exact requirements will depend on the postgraduate degree you are applying for and the undergraduate degree you have studied.

    • For programmes that require a 2:1 we usually ask for a final grade of at least Very good/76%/B or a GPA of 3.0/4.0
    • For programmes that require a 2:2 we usually ask for a final grade of at least Good/68%/C+ or a GPA of 2.5/4.0

    Some, but not all, postgraduate programmes require your undergraduate degree to have a related major. Some postgraduate programmes may require work experience in a relevant field or at a certain level.

    PhD

    For entry to a Kent PhD programme, Jordanian students typically need to have completed a Master's degree from a recognised university with a final grade of at least Very Good/B/76% or a GPA of 3.0/4.0. Students who have not completed a thesis as part of their degree will need to show evidence of previous research experience.

    How to Apply

    Applications to our Postgraduate programmes are made via the online directly to the University of Kent. There is no application fee required. 

    For international students, the deadline for applications to taught Master's programmes is 31 July.

    Although there is no fixed closing deadline for applications to research degrees, we strongly recommend that you apply as soon as possible; no later than three months before your intended start date. The University has three PhD entry dates during the academic year: September, January and May. Entry to a Master’s by Research is in September only.
