Human Resource Management (with placement) BSc (Hons)

Models of work are constantly evolving but one thing does not change: people still need to be recruited trained motivated and paid to meet an organisations requirements. If your interests lie in the direction of effective people management this course puts you on the right path.

You begin your journey with a thorough grounding in business before exploring the many aspects of human resource management (HRM): professional practice; leadership and motivation; creativity innovation and entrepreneurship; business systems including international business; selection and recruitment; employee relations; and employment law.

You learn from expert tutors taking on practical projects that mirror the situations and challenges you would encounter working as a professional manager.

In your second year you bring your learning to life and gain exciting real-life experience of human resource management through a 12-week placement in or around Milton Keynes. We ensure you take up a placement suited to your skills and ambitions and support and monitor your placement experience at all stages.

To apply for a place on an undergraduate course (BA/BSc) you need to have completed your high school education (12 years) and have a pass equivalent to two UK A level passes and have the required English language qualification.

When you submit an application form you must remember to include photocopies of the following supporting documents. We do not need to see your original qualifications and certificates.

• A completed application form signed by you (an electronic signature is fine)
• Copies of your official academic qualifications and certificates including proof of your level of English Language (where relevant)
• A one-page personal statement. This should tell us why you want to study your chosen course.
• A copy of your current valid passport details
• Please submit copies of any UK Visa that you have held and any documentation relating to previous visa refusals from any country
