Humanities and social sciences offers minors that consist of a coherent set of five courses beyond The Clarkson Seminar, plus completion of a minor portfolio.

There are three different types of minors: thematic, disciplinary and student-designed minors. These options allow you to focus on areas of interest and to work with faculty across the university.

All humanities and social sciences minors require 15 credit hours as well as a required non-credit minor portfolio. 

These application instructions are for non-U.S. citizens applying for first-year enrollment at Clarkson. If you have already earned some university credit, you should apply as a transfer student. To review your application, we need to receive all of the following materials and information according to Clarkson’s admission dates and deadlines:

• Clarkson University Freshman Application or Common App 
• Official secondary school transcript, mark sheets, or national exam scores.
• Two letters of recommendation.
• Test Optional-Official SAT/ACT scores, if submitted the scores will be taken into consideration during the admissions process.
