India Studies

The minor in India Studies requires 15 semester hours (at least 9 advanced hours) taken from the courses listed below. Other courses with content relevant for India Studies may be petitioned and require approval from the Chair of Modern and Classical Languages. A minimum of 9 hours must be taken in residence. No more than one independent study course may be applied toward the minor. A student must earn a 2.00 cumulative grade point average in courses attempted in the minor field at the University of Houston.

Be sure to complete the short admissions essay and tell us about your achievements and extracurricular activities. Pay the $90 Application Fee for international students ($75 for U.S. applicants) when you submit your online application.
