The Integrated Language Arts Additional Licensure Preparation non-degree program prepares students to obtain an additional teacher license in integrated language arts (reading, writing, speaking and listening) for grades 7-12. Completion of the coursework is a prerequisite to being recommended by Kent State University for licensure, which is granted by the Ohio Department of Education. This non-degree program cannot be used for students seeking initial licensure.
The non-degree program is not a master's degree program. Students interested in a master's degree at Kent State must be fully admitted into and complete the requirements for the master's program, in addition to courses that are prescribed for additional licensure.
