    About

    In today’s globalised economy, increasing numbers of companies compete on global markets, for which they require managers that possess international qualifications and intercultural competence in addition to business expertise. The MSc International Business prepares business leaders of tomorrow for successfully doing business in some of the fastest growing economic areas of the world. Students spend the first year of the programme in Tübingen obtaining profound knowledge in fields of international business of their choice. In the second year of the programme, they specialise in either East Asia or sub-Saharan Africa and spend one year at one or two of the most prestigious universities in these regions. An MSc in International Business from the University of Tübingen gives future managers a competitive edge for a promising corporate career or can serve as the starting point for excellent academic research. In cooperation with the Graduate School of Business at the University of Rikkyo in Tokyo (Japan), the School of Business and Economics at the University of Tübingen offers a brand-new, double degree option for its MSc International Business students. Students participating in this double degree programme will spend one year at each institution and graduate with both degrees. Students enrolled at the University of Tübingen will spend their first year at the University of Tübingen and their second year at the University of Rikkyo, whereas students enrolled at the University of Rikkyo will spend their first year at the University of Rikkyo and their second year at the University of Tübingen. They will graduate with both degrees – in Tübingen with the MSc in International Business and in Tokyo with the Master of International Business (MIB).

    Entry Requirements

    Admission to the MSc in International Business requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or Economics or a comparable degree with excellent grades. Applicants are expected to have a solid intermediate level knowledge in the following: Business Administration Economics Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics If available, please provide proof of region-specific knowledge or relevant language skills. Students with a three-year Bachelor’s degree (amounting to 180 ECTS credits) are required to earn 30 additional ECTS credits (adding a fourth semester) in order to obtain the MSc in International Business.
