    International Hospitality Business Management

    About

    This is an online level 6 qualification for people already working in the hospitality industry. Accredited by the Institute of Hospitality, it gives you the management skills and cultural awareness you'll need to succeed in this sector.

    Accredited by the Institute of Hospitality and designed following extensive consultation with the hospitality industry, this course will help you to obtain the skills and understanding of the critical aspects affecting hospitality management. You will develop a critical understanding of the forces influencing the development of the international hospitality industry and be able to evaluate the role of core management functions, their application and contribution to quality and performance.

    If you already hold an HND or Foundation degree and have experience working in the hospitality industry (minimum of 6 months on full-time basis or equivalent), you can complete this University Advanced Diploma in International Hospitality Business Management within 12 months. If you don't have an HND or Foundation degree but have significant industry experience, we will also consider your application.

    This course can help you stand out in this competitive and continually expanding industry and is ideal for continuing professional development (CPD) - research has shown that qualifications really make a difference to career progression in hospitality. It's an ideal route towards gaining a full degree such as our BA (Hons) International Hospitality Business Management (Top-Up).

    Entry Requirements

    • Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama
    • Students with an overall score of 60% would usually be eligible for the International Foundation Year
    • UKVI IELTS 4.5 with a minimum of 4.0 in all components (CEFR B1) is also required
    • If you are studying and completing any internationally recognised qualification such as A-levels; International Baccalaureate (IB) or the American Curricula from the International Schools within Jordan, then you can begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree. Please see individual course pages for specific entry requirements
    • If you have completed a recognised international foundation programme with good grades
    • Advanced entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus and a grading guide

    The hospitality industry is very competitive and continually expanding, so there are many opportunities for managers who want to work in the UK and overseas.

    If you would prefer to gain a higher level qualification first however, you could continue your studies with our BA (Hons) International Hospitality Business Management (Top-Up) before progressing to a Masters degree, such as our MA International Hospitality Management which can also be studied online.

    How to Apply

    Before you begin your application make sure you have:

    • Your qualification details including grades and dates taken. You will have the opportunity to upload scanned copies of your qualification certificates/transcripts in the application. If you have no formal qualifications, you can also state this in your application
    • A scanned copy of your passport or other official photographic ID e.g. photo driving licence. This will help us verify your application to study with us. If you do not have any photo ID, we will accept a scanned copy of your birth certificate. International applicants can only provide a copy of their passport for visa assessment purposes
    • Your work experience (optional). You can upload a CV into your application or provide the company names and addresses of up to three of your employers
    • A personal statement showing your interest for the course/subject. This is a mandatory requirement and you will be able to upload it into your application. You may want to include your reasons for applying for the course, your experience in the field, how you feel you would benefit from studying and relevant information about your previous studies. You could also tell us about your non-academic experiences such as hobbies, interests, participation in any clubs, societies or voluntary work
    • A relevant reference for the course you have applied for. The reference should be in written format and supplied on company-headed paper, signed and dated from either a manager, supervisor, tutor or teacher
    • If you need to supply two references, this usually means you need to provide one academic reference from any recent study and one employer reference
